The 2020 Candidate Housing Questionnaires are here!

The SV@Home Action Fund is proud to share the results of our 2020 Candidate Housing Questionnaire. We sent a short, five question survey to all City Council candidates in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Cupertino, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Campbell, Los Altos, and Los Gatos (in the case of Los Gatos, the Town Council candidates). For each of these jurisdictions, we asked the same first four questions and then one final question that differed by locality. Please find below the answers we have received.

If you are a candidate and haven’t yet had the opportunity to answer the questionnaire but would like to have your positions represented on our page, please send a message to info@svh-actionfund.org.

In addition to the questionnaires to candidates in these cities, SV@Home held a series of candidate forums. If you are interested in learning more about the candidates for the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, the California Assembly and Senate districts in Santa Clara County, the San José City Council, the Mountain View City Council, and the Palo Alto City Council, you can view the recordings of our Candidate Forum series on the SV@Home Action Fund YouTube page.

In partnership with Tech Equity Collaborative, Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits, and CA YIMBY, the Action Fund hosted a nonpartisan candidate forum series leading up to the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary. The series featured candidates for San Jose City Council Districts 4 and 6, Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors District 3, and CA Senate Districts 13 and 15 as well as Assembly District 25.

In partnership with the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, the Action Fund conducted outreach and education on the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) providing voters with more options on how to vote.
