Half of all American renters are struggling to afford their housing while millions are one emergency away from homelessness. A focus on prevention can stem that inflow and reduce strain on homelessness response systems. This meeting series is an opportunity to connect with communities across the country looking to start or enhance their homelessness prevention efforts. In partnership with Right at Home, Homebase is building a national network of experts – including community practitioners and individuals with lived experience of homelessness or housing insecurity – to deepen the impact of homelessness prevention as a crucial intervention in homelessness response. Together, we will catalyze a national movement to make targeted prevention a key response to our homelessness crisis and keep more families housed.
