We are so proud to celebrate the newest graduating class of the Civic Leadership Program! This cohort of 18 completed an intensive five-day training experience over the course of two months, covering housing policy, communications, fundraising, campaigning, leadership development and more — all designed to equip these emerging leaders with the tools and confidence to run for office or engage in civic campaigns.
In addition to trainings led by the SV@Home team and presentations by all the cohort members themselves, this year’s CLP featured speakers from across the county, including:
- Randy Tsuda, President & CEO and Marc Garcia, CFO, Alta Housing
- Randy also serves as Treasurer on the SV@Home Board of Directors
- Rebecca Garcia, Director of Housing, Santa Clara County Housing Authority
- Chuck Cantrell, Principal Strategist, CAA Consultants
- David Low, Senior Director of Public Policy, Destination: Home
- Kathy Tran, Political Specialist, IFPTE Local 21, AFL-CIO
- Kathy also serves on the SV@Home Action Fund Board of Directors
- Neysa Fligor, Santa Clara County Assessor and former Los Altos Mayor
At the end of our final day, we welcomed back CLP alums from past cohorts who joined us in honoring this new class as they step into the wider alumni network. We’re building a powerful and growing community of well-informed, civically engaged leaders.
Congratulations to each and every graduate! We can’t wait to see what you do next.
