As Vice President of The Core Companies, Chris has specialized in development and construction of for-sale homes, affordable rental housing and workforce housing throughout the South Bay Area. Over the last decade, Chris has led the team to successfully entitle, finance, construct and lease over 1200 affordable rental homes for Low, Very Low and Extremely Low Income Households in the Bay Area, as well as developed more than 400 single family homes, townhomes and condominiums. Through the creative application of local, state and federal housing programs and with strict compliance to Fair Housing practices; he has provided affordable rental homes targeting artists, teachers, educators, seniors, those with special needs and the formerly homeless.
In the pursuit of developing affordable housing, Chris has accumulated a range of skills and expertise including but not limited to site acquisition, feasibility analysis, complex financing, entitlements, design development, construction management, asset management and customer service. He has established key partnerships with some of affordable housing’s leading contributors including institutional debt and equity providers such as PNC, Citibank and JP Morgan Chase as well as some of California’s leading agencies such as CDLAC, TCAC, CalHFA, FHLB, ABAG, CSCDA and HUD. Chris is active in local and regional associations, serving as President Board of the San Jose Downtown Association and Reach Institute for School Leadership. Chris has earned a Bachelors’ degree in Physics from UCLA and a Master’s Degree in Business from UC Berkeley.
