The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Homeless Services Manager to join the Housing Division of the Community Development Department. Under general direction of the Housing Officer, the Homeless Services Manager will oversee coordination and implementation of new homeless service programs such as Safe RV Parking, Universal Basic Income, and new transitional housing developments, as well as manage existing funding partnerships which support the unhoused. The Homeless Services Manager will play a critical role in identifying service needs and creative problem solving towards meeting these needs and providing policy direction. The selected candidate will foster and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private entities to identify opportunities and deliver measurable results.
Compensation: $135,094 – $166,880 Annually
Those candidates that receive a passing score on the examination will be placed on an eligibility list for up to one year, in accordance with the City’s Civil Service Rules and Administrative Policies. Top candidates on the eligibility list will be invited to participate in a selection interview with the department scheduled for June 27 and/or June 28.

The Partnership is a dynamic nonprofit “think and do tank” providing critical technical assistance, training, applied research and policy leadership to increase the production and preservation of affordable and sustainable homes serving Californians who are low-income. To achieve this mission, the Partnership’s three technical assistance teams (finance, clean energy, applied research) work closely with a network of more than 60 mission-driven nonprofit and government housing agencies throughout California, as well as the nonprofit associations who represent them.
The Partnership seeks to add a part-time Bookkeeper, based in San Francisco, to its Operations team of four. The Bookkeeper will support the organization’s accounting functions through A/P, A/R, payroll, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, and other related tasks. This part-time position has the future potential for expanding to full-time.
Compensation: $29.00 – $38.00 per hour. The ideal candidate would have experience in achieving advocacy wins by working with and through community members. This involves an understanding of the process and how to navigate it, connecting volunteers with relevant decision makers, being that conduit of information to a local agency and more. SVBC advocacy staff is the liaison between public agencies and residents to help residents organize themselves and be successful in getting their elected officials to prioritize, fund, plan and build a transportation ecosystem that is resilient, healthy, affordable and sustainable. We also recognize that it may be hard to find someone who can do all this so please don’t be deterred if you’re strong on a few of these aspects and have room to learn in others.
Compensation: Starting at $60,000 for those with little experience and more depending on years of work and experience in the field.

AACC is a community-based initiative to establish a distinguished hub for the African American Community in Silicon Valley. AACC is the City’s first Black-owned non-profit community development entity and is establishing itself as the preeminent developer of affordable housing and distinguishing community spaces. Its Signature Project will be the first project undertaken by AACC in partnership with First Community Housing and the African American Community Services Agency.
The Senior Project Administrator/Executive Director (SPA/ED) manages and directs the day to day business of the AACC, the developer of a mixed-use development housing the new African American Community Services Agency, a clinic, and affordable housing in San Jose, CA. The position is responsible for supervising and developing a new staff of project manager(s), consultants, interns, as well as overseeing all stages of organizational operations. The SPA/ED will oversee the development of AACC’s pipeline projects. Given the existing growth opportunity of the organization and the vision required to grow an organization, this SPA/ED will work collaboratively with the Board of the AACC as well as play a substantial role in engaging and gathering feedback from African American stakeholders throughout Silicon Valley. Work may encompass projects in varying stages of development and will include large, technically complex housing and mixed-use projects such as the AACC’s Signature Project. This position works under direction of the AACC Board of Directors and acts independently to manage projects and supervise staff.
