Diridon Station Area Advisory Group
Wednesday, March 21 @ 8:00 PM
San Jose City Hall
Committee Rooms 118-120
200 East Santa Clara Street
San Jose, CA
The agenda includes presentations and disussion on the City’s planning goals for the Diridon Station Area, SAAG’s role and operation, and future community engagement activities.
The meeting also provides a space for public comment. Key to this process is community voices, and we encourage housing supporters to attend the meetings and speak up about the need to create housing opportunities as jobs are added to the City.
As a SAAG member, SV@Home is pleased to join more than 30 other organizations in providing feedback, advocating for more housing, significant affordability, and an integrated, mixed-use urban design. Join SV@Home at this meeting to speak out for housing near Diridon Station!
New development in the Diridon Station Area may add 6-8 million square feet of employment space and an estimated 20,000 workers to the area west of Downtown. More housing—especially affordable housing—is needed to house new workers and their families.
