The Bay Area is one of the most expensive housing markets in the country but, unfortunately, a surplus of policy recommendations, new construction methods, progressive leadership, the COVID-19 pandemic, calls for greater equity and an acceleration in housing production over the past decade haven’t moved the needle to any considerable degree. Why has that been the case, and what can be done? What strategies and policies have proven to be effective, and what barriers stand in the way of solutions and real change? Join us to discuss what it will take to make major strides forward in creating a Bay Area that is affordable to everyone.
