The Housing Needs of Undocumented Residents

JOIN US VIRTUALLY ON FRIDAY, JULY 25TH 12PM

Undocumented immigrants face unique and often invisible barriers to housing—exclusion from federal programs, fear of retaliation, and discriminatory screening practices.

Join us for a timely conversation on how we can break down these barriers and advance housing solutions that include everyone—regardless of immigration status.

We’ll explore:
– Why undocumented immigrants are excluded from key housing programs
– How fear and discrimination drive housing instability
– Local policies and community-based models creating real change

Join us for a virtual briefing on the 5-year growth and progress of the Homelessness Prevention System in Santa Clara County.

Join Destination: Home, Sacred Heart Community Service and our partners for a discussion with local leaders and nonprofit providers about the work being done to prevent homelessness in our community. We’ll take a look at the growth of the Homelessness Prevention System since the program’s launch in 2017 – when there were only a handful of partners and plans for prevention – and explain the strategies being implemented to keep individuals and households off the street.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A on the efforts to prevent and end homelessness in Silicon Valley.

FEATURING

Destination: Home and Sacred Heart Community Service will provide an update on the Homelessness Prevention System’s impact over the past 5 years.

Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) will preview the results from their randomized trial study of the Homelessness Prevention System.

In addition, a few of our Homelessness Prevention System nonprofit partners will share their on-the-ground insights during a panel discussion.

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation!
