Habitat for Humanity and the Preservation Action Council are offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of a unique project underway in the heart of San Jose. On the corner of 4th and Reed Streets, volunteers are thoroughly renovating the historic Pallesen Apartments, whose four units will soon be owned by local families earning low incomes. This is the result of a one-of-a-kind collaboration – and tremendous public support – to save a beautiful piece of our architectural history and transform it into new opportunities.
