Last month, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered California officials to remove homeless encampments on state lands and encouraged local leaders to follow suit.

Newsom’s move has been criticized by elected officials and organizations across the state for exacerbating the root causes of this health equity crisis. The clearing of homeless encampments has long been a challenging moral and health question for public health departments. Many leaders in the Bay Area are working to ensure that responses to houselessness prioritize evidence-based, health-centered solutions.

Join us on Friday, August 16th to learn about the new homelessness landscape in the Bay Area and discuss where the greatest opportunities exist to bring meaningful change.  Our conversation will be guided by Brett Andrews, Interim Chief Executive of All Home, the regional non-profit working with public and private partners across the Bay Area to reduce homelessness.
