SV@Home attended the Branham Station Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) community meeting on March 10, 2025, where plans for 45 affordable for-sale townhomes were shared. This innovative transit-oriented development will enhance connectivity and provide much-needed affordable housing in Silicon Valley.
SV@Home was excited to attend the Branham Station Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) community meeting on March 10, 2025, at the Vista Park Community Center. Hosted by Charities Housing and the Valley Transit Authority (VTA), the event brought together residents, housing advocates, and local leaders—including San Jose Councilmember Pamela Campos—to discuss plans for transforming the Branham Station Park & Ride lot into much-needed affordable housing. Attendees had the chance to view project designs, learn about homeownership opportunities, and provide input on station access improvements. The meeting was a valuable opportunity for the community to engage with the future of this site and see how transit-oriented development can play a key role in addressing the housing crisis.
The Branham Station TOD will introduce 45 affordable, for-sale townhomes—an increasingly rare and critical housing opportunity in Silicon Valley. The project, developed by Charities Housing in partnership with VTA, will feature three-bedroom and four-bedroom townhomes on a long-term ground lease to maintain affordability for future generations. It also includes key transit access enhancements, such as improved bike and pedestrian connections to the light rail station, reinforcing the site’s role as a hub for sustainable, connected living.
SV@Home is thrilled to see VTA making strides in leveraging public land for affordable housing, especially through an innovative for-sale model. Transit-oriented developments like this don’t just provide homes—they create walkable communities where people can live and thrive with easy access to public transportation. We look forward to seeing this project come to life and to many more VTA-led developments helping to shape a more affordable, connected Silicon Valley.
