Join us for a conversation between interim shelter and affordable housing leaders about the range of tools we have to address homelessness.

Sometimes local conversations about how to address homelessness center only one solution, or pit solutions against each other as though only one is necessary. In reality, there are a range of solutions to prevent homelessness from happening, provide temporary shelter for those in need, and ensure that everyone who is a part of our communities has a safe, stable, and affordable home.

For our March Policy in Action, we are joined by Sarah Fields, Director of Community Engagement & Public Affairs for LifeMoves, a local provider of interim housing and supportive services. Sarah and Regina Celestin Williams, Executive Director of SV@Home, will explore the variety of ways we have to protect and meet the need of the most vulnerable members of our communities, with time for audience Q&A.

Join us to learn more about the continuum of response to homelessness so you can be better equipped to understand and participate in local policy and budget decisions.

Speakers:

  • Sarah Fields, Director of Community Engagement & Public Affairs for LifeMoves
  • Regina Celestin Williams, Executive Director of SV@Home

SV@Home’s Policy in Action @ Home series (PIA) is a monthly, informal discussion convening Housers to engage on hot housing topics. Every month, we select a topic or current event, bring in an expert to give a brief presentation or interview, and then open up the discussion to ask questions, float new ideas, and identify potential areas for shared action.

SV@Home strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please email events@siliconvalleyathome.org
