Since the Supreme Court’s Grants Pass decision last year, communities have seen increasing efforts to criminalize and punish people experiencing homelessness.
Destination: Home and Homebase invite you to a webinar designed to empower and educate Santa Clara County service providers, advocates, and community members about the legal rights of people experiencing homelessness, especially those affected by encampment sweeps and vehicle tows. The training will also cover reasonable accommodation requests for individuals with disabilities experiencing homelessness.
The focus will be on Santa Clara County but we invite you to share this event with anyone who could benefit.
We’ll be joined by:
- Michele Byrnes, Directing Analyst and Saadiqah Islam, Policy Analyst at Homebase
- Tristia Bauman, Directing Attorney at Law Foundation of Silicon Valley
- Erin Nguyen Neff, Senior Staff Attorney at Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund
- Olivia Cane, at Lived Experience Advisory Board of Silicon Valley
