The City of Palo Alto is advancing the San Antonio Area Plan and inviting community members to help shape the future of housing, transportation, and land use along this key corridor. Two upcoming engagement opportunities provide important ways to share input and advocate for housing as the plan moves forward.

The City of Palo Alto is continuing work on the San Antonio Area Plan, a multi-year effort to guide land use, housing, transportation, and community development along the San Antonio Road corridor. As the plan evolves, the City is inviting community members to weigh in on key decisions, creating an important opportunity to engage, share feedback, and advocate for housing solutions that support an inclusive and vibrant neighborhood.
There are two upcoming opportunities to participate in shaping the plan:
San Antonio Area Plan Community Workshop: Taking place on March 5, 2026 (6:00–8:00 PM), this in-person workshop will gather feedback on housing, mobility, and development options that will inform the overall framework of the Area Plan.
San Antonio Area Plan Design Concepts Survey: Open through March 29, 2026, this survey invites community input on land use, transportation, and design priorities that will guide the next phase of the plan.
We appreciate the City of Palo Alto’s continued efforts to broaden community engagement and ensure local voices help shape the future of the San Antonio Area. Meaningful participation is essential to advancing housing solutions and building more inclusive, connected neighborhoods.
We encourage community members and housing advocates to take the San Antonio Area Plan survey and participate in the upcoming Community Workshop. Your voice is critical in shaping the plan and advocating for more housing.
