Partners and community leaders came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of Lupina Tower, a new deeply affordable housing development bringing 99 homes and supportive services to San Jose.

Earlier this month, elected officials, city and county partners, and local advocates gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of Lupina Tower, a new affordable housing development in the Guadalupe-Washington neighborhood of San Jose. Led by Resources for Community Development (RCD), the project marks an important step forward in delivering deeply affordable homes in a transit-accessible, amenity-rich part of the city. With strong support from Santa Clara County and local partners, Lupina reflects continued momentum in addressing the region’s housing needs.

Once complete, Lupina will provide 99 deeply affordable homes, including units for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, with a mix of studios through three-bedroom apartments. The development will also feature on-site supportive services, community-serving commercial space, and open space, all designed to foster a stable and connected community. Congratulations to Resources for Community Development and all partners involved, here’s to many more milestones ahead.
