On March 6th, the San Jose City Council took action to place the Evergreen Senior Homes Initiative on the June 5th ballot.  While all 11 members of the City Council have come out in opposition of the Initiative, there were only two options before the Council– approve the measure or place it on the ballot for voters to decide.  Read more about the Council’s action here.

On the same meeting agenda, the Council voted to place a Charter Amendment on the June 5th ballot– “An Act to Limit Urban Sprawl and the Fiscal and Environmental Effects of Specified Development in Outlying Areas.”  Read more about this measure here.

While SV@Home has taken action to oppose the Evergreen Senior Homes Initiative, no action has been taken on the new Charter Amendment proposed by the City Council.
