On Tuesday, April 9, the San Jose City Council will receive an annual update on the Affordable Housing Investment Plan (AHIP), which shows the City’s shortfall on funding to meet the goal of 10,000 affordable homes by 2022. The AHIP report can be found HERE. During this meeting the Council will also receive a report on the Ellis Act, which regulates the requirements developers face when they redevelop apartment complexes covered by the Apartment Rent Ordinance.  Council Meetings start at 1:30 in Council Chambers, San Jose City Hall, 200 East Santa Clara St..
