Growing up in San Jose as a low-income immigrant, Cesia (she/her) joined social justice organizations in high school as a way to advocate for her friends and family members. She continued her community involvement throughout college by joining community service based clubs and partaking in internships such as the New Americans Fellowship which allowed her to design and execute a research report focusing on the immigrant population of Santa Clara County. For the majority of her college career, Cesia was also a Spanish Tutor where she enjoyed advising students and directing them to on-campus resources.
Cesia holds a BA in Political Science and Spanish from UC Davis. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting at the flea market, hiking with her dog, and watching reality TV.
