Many of our local cities are joining forces right now in a shared nexus study, the wonky and in-depth analysis that assesses the feasibility of local residential development and the potential for developers of market-rate housing to add a share of affordable homes to their buildings.

If cities require too few affordable homes or affordability that’s too shallow, they leave public benefits on the table. Too much, and developers can’t build any housing at all.

Manuel is SV@Home’s Housing Planning and Production Associate and is responsible for assisting with both land use planning and affordable housing production policy and advocacy. Before joining SV@Home, Manuel worked at Mercy Housing where he aided the Real Estate Development department in the acquisition, production, and financing of affordable housing projects. Manuel earned a BS in Community and Regional Development from the University of California Davis. Manuel loves to travel and visits his parent’s home state of Jalisco, Mexico every year.
