ABAG: RHNA Appeals Hearings for Santa Clara County Jurisdictions

Housing Element

While each appeal is expected to last approximately one hour, and appeals are anticipated to be heard in sequence, exact start and end times for any jurisdiction cannot be guaranteed. The committee will make every effort to avoid shifting dates for a jurisdiction’s appeal, but start dates may need to be adjusted due to lengthier than expected proceedings or the ability to maintain a quorum. As such, this schedule will be updated on an as-needed basis.

The jurisdictions in Santa Clara County that have appealed their RHNA allocations, and whose appeals will be heard at this time are Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Monte Sereno, Palo Alto, Saratoga, and Unincorporated Santa Clara County. There will be a break for lunch between the Los Altos Hills hearing and Monte Sereno hearing.

Because the regional allocation will not change and any reduction to any jurisdiction will result in an increase to other jurisdictions, all appeals must be considered together before any adjustments are made. Final deliberations for all jurisdictions will happen on Friday, October 29 from 9am to 5pm.

A Zoom link to join will be posted as soon as available.
