Hosted by Housing Trust Silicon Valley

11:30 am on Thursday, May 16, 2017

Housing, more specifically, affordable housing, is the top issue facing our region. There is more private funding, more policy and more political will behind housing than ever before – but how does this translate to actual homes? How does affordable financing work? What is the difference between Measure A, TECH Fund, and the Catalyst Fund? At this event, you’ll learn about the basics of affordable housing finance – how homes go from pre-acquisition to move-in day! This is your opportunity to get an inside look at how Housing Trust Silicon Valley, public entities, private lenders and equity investors are working to create more affordable housing in our communities.

As part of Santa Clara County’s Affordable Housing Week, Housing Trust invites you to join us for lunch and an informational session led by our Chief Lending Officer, Jim Mather. With 30 years of finance and affordable housing experience, Jim is uniquely qualified to clarify the finer points of funding affordable housing. This session will primarily address multi-family rental development.
