The Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) (https://bit.ly/3jLFjee) invites members of the public to review and comment on the Draft Equity Framework (https://bit.ly/3jLCKsx) and Draft Funding Programs (https://bit.ly/3ln9kBA) — two components of the BAHFA Business Plan.

Written comments also will be accepted via email to bahfa@bayareametro.gov. Comments must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023.
The Equity Framework was developed in collaboration with the Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley (https://bit.ly/3xc46v6) and serves as the foundation of the BAHFA Business Plan. Its purpose is to:
• Articulate BAHFA’s commitment to advancing equity;
• Set objectives for BAHFA’s impact on equity through its Funding Programs, guided by overarching goals;
• Define metrics for measuring impact of Funding Programs; and
• Provide a regional framework for Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing.
Public comments and input received will help inform revisions to the Draft Equity Framework and Draft Funding Programs. The final Equity Framework and Funding Programs are slated for approval in May 2023, with the Business Plan slated for adoption in December 2023.
