On Tuesday, November 2nd, at their 9:30am meeting, the County Board of Supervisors will consider the purchase of the Crestview Hotel for affordable housing. Information about participating in Board of Supervisors meeting is available here.

On January 26, 2021, the City Council unanimously supported partnering with the County of Santa Clara regarding the concept of converting Crestview Hotel (901 E El Camino Real) into a residential use to meet various housing needs and priorities, including for unstably housed persons and families. The purpose of this meeting was to provide an opportunity for early input from the community and for Council to provide initial direction regarding this housing concept.

Because this housing opportunity is just at the very beginning of the process, the concepts discussed – such as housing needs, City/County roles, funding, programming and process – during the Council meeting were at a high level. Details would be developed at the appropriate time as the process moves forward and informed by community input.
