After a multi-year planning process, the City of Sunnyvale recently closed the public review period for the Draft Moffett Park Specific Plan (MPSP). As the MPSP nears its adoption this Spring, it is imperative that this plan is robust so that all Sunnyvale residents have access to this future vibrant and resilient Eco-Innovation District neighborhood. The MPSP provides a wealth of opportunities for Sunnyvale. Find out how you can help to ensure that the MPSP provides access for all Sunnyvale residents to work, move, live, and play in Moffett Park.

This free, virtual event will be moderated by SV@Home.
The MPSP is 1,275-acres in size and is located at the northerly-most portion of Sunnyvale. The plan area will have a capacity to build 20,000 homes with an aspiring target for 3,000 to 4,000 affordable units. Livable Sunnyvale and SV@Home have been involved since the start of this process and are pleased to see how much the plan has progressed over the years. However, there is still more work to be done. Both organizations are still working hard to ensure that the MPSP maximizes the number of affordable units, has all the policy tools in place to gain the confidence that the Plan will realize its housing goals, and will live up to its promise of an Eco-Innovative District where everyone can work, live, and play. Livable Sunnyvale will also discuss important housing adjacent topics pertinent to the MPSP.

SV@Home’s Policy in Action @ Home series (PIA, formerly the Housing Action Coalition or HAC) is a monthly, informal brownbag discussion convening Housers to engage on hot housing topics. Every month, we select a topic or current event, bring in an expert to give a brief presentation or interview, and then open up the discussion to ask questions, float new ideas, and identify potential areas for shared action.
SV@Home strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please email Kenneth@siliconvalleyathome.org
