If you care about housing affordability and preventing displacement in Gilroy, join us on March 25th! The Gilroy Housing Coalition is made up of local housing organizations, including SV@Home, and Gilroy residents. Our mission is to advocate for affordable and dignified housing for all Gilroy residents. We want all Gilroy residents to have access to basic needs support that allows families to thrive.
This year we are advocating for a Displacement Prevention Policy as part of Gilroy’s Housing Element, the City’s 8-year plan to meet the housing needs of all its residents, at all income levels. Our goals are to support policies and programs that:
- Prevent Displacement Before It Happens
- Protect Current Residents
- Preserve Affordable Housing
- Provide Support for Displaced Residents.
