Quency Phillips has been building brands and cultivating communities for nearly 20 years. His transition to Silicon Valley began as a strategic consultant for regional affordable housing organizations and local jurisdictions. Quency is now part of the senior leadership team with Bay Area LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) where he handles community engagement efforts for a large regional fund around displacement, housing, affordability, and equity in the region. He currently serves on the board of directors for SOMOS Mayfair, Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, and the Redwood City Police Activities League.
Jessica Weare oversees Microsoft’s philanthropic investments in Silicon Valley, focusing on computer science education, workforce development, and civic technology. She managed the company’s Bay Area employee engagement program to an 87% participation rate and helped launch the first-ever online giving day in Silicon Valley, which raised $24 million for local nonprofits. Jessica currently serves on the board of directors for the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits and California Humanities, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. She holds a B.A. from Yale and a Ph.D. from Stanford.
