Persons 65 years of age and older are the fastest growing population segment in Sunnyvale.  This population of residents has increased by 22 percent as compared to an overall population increase of 11 percent. The population of older adults is projected to grow over the next decade as many of the “baby boomers” (the large group of people born between 1946 and 1964) will have reached age 65 by 2023.  Historically, individuals in this age group were considered to be of retirement age.  While still eligible to retire, many have not due to the high cost of housing.

NOVAWorks will share with us the services they provide to place workers in this age group, how many they have placed and their average salary.
