“Local housing crisis” are words we hear more and more. What caused this crisis? Data show that Santa Clara County created six times more jobs than homes between 2010 and 2016, making housing costs skyrocket and pushing local workers out of the area. Los Altos Women’s Caucus documented stories of local workers – their commutes, the jobs they love, and the tough decisions they must make – so that we would understand how the shortage of homes affects everyone in the community.
