On Thursday, August 16th, the Santa Clara County Housing, Land Use, Environment and Transportation (HLUET) committee will meet to consider proposals related to requirements that Stanford University address the affordable housing needs created by their expansion plans. HLUET will consider both an Inclusionary Housing Policy and a Affordable Housing Fee program for non-residential development on Stanford campus. This meeting may also discuss ongoing efforts by county staff and representatives of the University to come to an agreement on a negotiated development agreement for affordable housing that might provide an alternative to the proposed fee ordinances.
