The Santa Clara County Housing, Land Use, Environment, and Transportation (HLUET) Committee will convene a special meeting on Reid-Hillview Airport near Eastridge Mall in eastern San Jose.
Santa Clara County, which owns and operates Reid-Hillview, is exploring plans to develop an empty parcel of land on the northeast corner of Tully Road and Capitol Expressway that belongs to the airport.
Community members have called on the county’s Roads and Airports department to construct affordable housing or athletic fields on the empty parcel in the past.
