Beginning in 2021, the emergency housing voucher (EHV) program created an unprecedented opportunity to house a significant share of people at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness across the country. However, EHVs are not being used to their full potential everywhere, with many public housing authorities (PHAs) having yet to lease more than half their vouchers.

An expert panel made up of leaders from three PHAs will highlight experiences with the program and strategies that may help other jurisdictions to ensure EHVs are being successfully leased up. We will also share findings from our recent commentary on the topic.
