West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has been providing supportive services to low-income and homeless individuals and families in the West Valley area for over 50 years. Now entering its 14th year, Chefs of Compassion, a unique event, invites well-known professional chefs from the Bay Area to design and create one course of a multi-course meal. The twist on this cooking challenge is that these chefs must create their dish with ingredients found only in our very own WVCS food market! The winning dish will be voted on by our professional judges (local chefs and food critics) and by you—our guests!

It is a unique fundraising experience that combines the excitement and fun of a celebrity cooking competition with an opportunity to support a local non-profit. You will get to enjoy the food, participate in fun games, vote for your favorite chef, and experience our gratitude for your support throughout the event—all in the company of close friends, loved ones, and distinguished community members. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our journey throughout the year and share stories of our mission: uniting the community to fight hunger and homelessness.
