SV@Home and Partner Career Opportunities
SV@Home is seeking two (2) detail-oriented Housing Justice Interns that are interested in learning more about local, regional, and state housing policy to support our policy and advocacy work through a 10-week summer internship, running from June 2, 2025 thru August 1, 2025. The Housing Policy Intern will be exposed to many facets of SV@Home’s work, including, but not limited to: coalition building, research and data analysis, knowledge-sharing, and community-based training. SV@Home will accept applications through March 14, 2025.
TThe Senior Director of Programs will oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of programs that support first-generation Latinx students in their journey through higher education and career pathways. The Community Organizer supports SHCS’ efforts to change people and policies and fulfill our vision of a community united to ensure that every child and adult is free from poverty. A member of SHCS’ Power and Organizing team, this position is responsible for growing, implementing, and tracking SHCS’ efforts to develop the skills, consciousness, and involvement of grassroots neighborhood leaders; develop the political consciousness of potential allies; and create a culture of organizing and transformation across our programs. The Organizer plays a key role in planning and implementing policy campaigns to exercise grassroots power, and developing a sustained and democratic organization. The position serves as a liaison between internal programs, neighborhood leadership, and community partners.
The Housing Program Coordinator implements the City’s Housing Goals and Policies as outlined by the City Council, City’s Housing Element, the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, the Below Market Rate Program and the Economic Mobility Report. This position coordinates the City’s affordable housing programs and services, provides support in the administration of the City’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, administers contracts and prepares necessary reports and ensures compliance with contracts, program policies and state law. This position will lead the Community Organizing Department, which builds power in East San Jose to effectively challenge the system and create sustainable systemic change in schools, neighborhoods and communities. Unhoused Specialist (City of Campbell)
The City of Campbell’s Community Development Department is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Unhoused Specialist. Under general supervision, the Unhoused Specialist plans and organizes homeless services and activities on behalf of the city’s Housing Division including providing intensive, one-on-one case management for the City’s residents experiencing homelessness and assisting unhoused residents gain access to needed services to locate and secure affordable housing opportunities, including temporary, transitional, and permanent solutions.
