Missed the San Antonio Road Workshop? There’s Still Time to Weigh In

Share:

Palo Alto hosted the first community workshop for the San Antonio Road Area Plan on October 23rd, bringing together residents, advocates, and planners to reimagine the corridor’s future. If you could not attend, there is still time to make your voice heard, complete the City’s survey by October 31st to help ensure housing equity remains at the heart of the plan.

Last week, Palo Alto hosted the first San Antonio Road Area Plan Community Workshop, kicking off a multi-year planning effort that could transform a 275-acre stretch between Alma Street and Highway 101 into a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood. The workshop drew a lively crowd eager to discuss the future of this key corridor, sharing ideas about how the area can evolve to include more housing, accessible transportation, public space, and pedestrian safety improvements.

Participants engaged in interactive exercises to identify opportunities and challenges that the City should consider as it develops the plan. The feedback will help shape policies around land use, mobility, and economic development, guiding how Palo Alto can create a more inclusive, connected, and sustainable community that supports both new housing and local businesses.

For those who could not attend, there is still an important opportunity to weigh in. The City’s San Antonio Road Area Plan survey remains open until October 31st. Your input will help ensure that housing affordability remains central to the plan’s vision.

Take the San Antonio Road Area Plan survey before the October 31st deadline to make your voice heard!
