Santa Clara Issues Request for Affordable Housing Proposals

Share:

The City of Santa Clara’s Housing Division has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) calling for developers to submit proposals to develop a minimum of 15 affordable homes on a .69 acre city-owned site–a former Redevelopment Agency asset–located at 3575 De La Cruz Boulevard.   Development of this site responds to key priorities and goals identified in the City’s General Plan, and the RFP requirements address feedback received from residents during the community engagement process.  All of the units will be affordable across a range of income levels as identified in the Community Visioning Report, attached to the RFP as Exhibit 2.

SV@Home is very supportive of the City’s efforts, and encourages all public entities to make vacant and underutilized publicly-owned land available for affordable housing development.

The deadline for submissions will be August 6, 2018.   To download the RFP, visit the City’s Housing webpage or visit the City’s 3575 De La Cruz Boulevard RFP webpage.
