In Santa Clara County, anyone can report ICE activity to the Rapid Response Network by calling 408-290-1144 to receive help in real time. Find hotline numbers for other California Counties. The Rapid Response Network (RRN) in Santa Clara County is a community defense project developed to protect immigrant families from deportation threats and to provide accompaniment support during and after a community member’s arrest or detention.

For Organizations

Public Counsel has released a training on the rights and responsibilities of nonprofits and business owners to prepare for and respond to an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) visit to their office, business, or facility, and for leadership to help empower staff with knowledge on how to navigate ICE enforcement. The training covers

  • Your rights when interacting with ICE
  • Why you should have a written policy regarding ICE interactions
  • What the policy should consider and say
  • How you can implement your policy to give guidance to staff if ICE shows up in person

They also created a publication on this topic with sample policies included: FAQs on Nonprofit and Small Business Rights with Respect to Immigration Enforcement. (January 23, 2025)

The National Homeless Law Project has a guide more specifically targeted towards homeless service providers.
