Join us for a special Happy Housers Happy Hour, sponsored in partnership with our friends at Equity Forward Anchor Network (EFAN)!

You’re in for a good conversation over drinks with people who care about creating a more inclusive Silicon Valley. It’s a chance to swap ideas, make new connections, and talk about how local campuses, churches, and community institutions could help open doors for more housing.

Come curious, leave connected.

Whether you’re deep in the housing world or just curious about what’s possible, this is your space to meet new people, share ideas, and be inspired.

Drink ticket and light appetizers included with ticket purchase.

The City of Sunnyvale is underway with a community planning effort to refine and guide the future vision of Sunnyvale’s 4-mile stretch of El Camino Real as a mixed-use corridor with safer environments for walking, bicycling and other modes of transportation.  A draft EIR is being prepared to evaluate up to 6,900 net new housing units and 730,000 new square feet of commercial space, reflecting the Council’s preference for a plan that maximizes opportunities for housing along the Corridor.  The draft EIR was originally expected to be released for public review in July 2018, with final EIR certification anticipated in late-2018. Significant delays, however, put the Plan on indefinite hold up until the present time.

The City initially anticipated a new release date for the draft EIR and Specific Plan in Fall 2020, which was to be followed by additional community engagement, a Council study session, and a final Council vote, but as of September 2021, the process is still in limbo.
