Eden Housing, alongside County and City leaders, celebrated the groundbreaking of The Magnolias in Morgan Hill, bringing 65 new affordable homes to South County. The development will provide housing for farmworker families, veterans, and households experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
On February 13, Eden Housing joined the County of Santa Clara, the City of Morgan Hill, and community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Magnolias in Morgan Hill. The event marked an important step forward for South County, signaling continued investment in affordable housing for residents who have long faced rising housing costs and limited supply.
The Magnolias will deliver 65 affordable homes serving households earning between 30% and 50% of area median income, with nearly half of the units reserved for farmworker families. The development includes a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and will feature community amenities such as a rooftop terrace, community garden, playground, computer lab, and shared gathering spaces. The project will also provide supportive housing opportunities for veterans and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping ensure stability for some of the community’s most vulnerable residents.
This milestone reflects what is possible when local and county leaders partner with mission-driven developers with intentionality to address local housing needs. The Magnolias stand as a testament to sustained public investment, thoughtful planning, and strong collaboration across sectors. We thank Eden Housing and all project partners for their leadership and look forward to seeing this new community take shape in the months ahead.
