Join the Coalition of Housers for a presentation and interactive discussion about redlining and displacement[spacer height=”20px”]

Are you curious about how the history of redlining has affected housing today? Join us for a workshop that will dive into some of the history of racism in housing in the South Bay and how it contributes to today’s displacement crisis. This workshop will provide an overview of this history, discuss why laws and programs that benefit our most disadvantaged groups benefit all of us, and include an interactive discussion on how housers can take action to prevent displacement.

The presenters are:

  • Steven Yang – Senior Loan Officer, Multifamily Lending, Housing Trust of Silicon Valley
  • Marisa Corriea – PHI Community Health Fellow, The Health Trust
  • Jacklyn Joanino – Development Officer, Housing Policy and Planning, City of San Jose Housing Department

The presenters for this session are members of the CoHo working group.

The Coalition of Housers, or CoHo, is a network of new and emerging leaders working in and advocating for affordable housing in the South Bay. As the need for affordable housing grows, so does the need for supporting the leadership and professional development of a diverse community of practitioners in the affordable housing industry and among industry partners. Join us!
