Executive Director Regina Celestin Williams Leads Keynote Conversation at ‘Transforming Communities’

This event is the keynote conversation of the two weeks of “Transforming Communities: A Movement to Racial Justice is A Movement, Not a Moment,” taking place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 13. 

This riveting conversation with Stockton’s former mayor will explore his experience as a Black man growing up in the city, becoming mayor, and working on his quest to end poverty in California. The keynote will dive into the intersections of race, politics, and inequality with this esteemed innovator and California native.

 

San José State’s “Transforming Communities: A Movement to Racial Justice” is an annual 2-week event designed to catalyze change in our community. Please see the entire calendar of events here. Events are hosted by the SJSU community focused on creating a more racially just and equitable city and county. This year’s theme is “A Movement, Not a Moment,” taking place Oct. 31 – Nov. 13.
