The County of Santa Clara was recently awarded Joe Serna funds to support homeownership opportunities for agricultural workers. The County plans to issue these funds through the Manufactured Home Purchase Program (MHPP), which is designed to make homeownership more accessible for low-income households, which includes agricultural workers, who are a vital part of the South County community but often face unique barriers to accessing housing programs.

To ensure these Serna funds reach those who need them most, the County’s Office of Supportive Housing (OSH), in partnership with the Cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill, will bring together South County stakeholders who work with and serve agricultural workers to enable them to learn about MHPP.

This event is a part of Affordable Housing Month 2026.
