The Housing Needs of Undocumented Residents

JOIN US VIRTUALLY ON FRIDAY, JULY 25TH 12PM

Undocumented immigrants face unique and often invisible barriers to housing—exclusion from federal programs, fear of retaliation, and discriminatory screening practices.

Join us for a timely conversation on how we can break down these barriers and advance housing solutions that include everyone—regardless of immigration status.

We’ll explore:
– Why undocumented immigrants are excluded from key housing programs
– How fear and discrimination drive housing instability
– Local policies and community-based models creating real change

Join us for our Faith-Based Development Initiative Annual Summit on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and Thursday, Nov. 19.

Over a two-hour period each day, from Noon – 2 p.m. ET, this forum will explore the role houses of worship can play in the development of affordable housing and community facilities serving low- and moderate-income communities, and the expanding movement nationally to facilitate these efforts.

As demographics shift and new economic and cultural realities emerge, the two-day summit will examine the role that development has played and could play in helping houses of worship remain relevant and impactful in a changing context around the country. We will also examine how government and private sector partners – nonprofit and for-profit – can collaborate with the faith community in developing housing and community facilities that serve a range of needs.

Keynote speakers are:
• Rev. Dr. Patrick Duggan, Executive Director, United Church of Christ Church Building and Loan Fund
• Rev. Matthew Watley, Senior Pastor, Kingdom Fellowship A.M.E. Church
