Happy Housers Event This September

Happy Housers, A Quarterly Happy Hour Event

TICKETS NOW 50% OFF! Join us at Dr. Funk in Downtown San Jose.

Join us for a special Happy Housers Happy Hour, sponsored in partnership with our friends at Equity Forward Anchor Network (EFAN)!

You’re in for a good conversation over drinks with people who care about creating a more inclusive Silicon Valley. It’s a chance to swap ideas, make new connections, and talk about how local campuses, churches, and community institutions could help open doors for more housing.

Come curious, leave connected.

Whether you’re deep in the housing world or just curious about what’s possible, this is your space to meet new people, share ideas, and be inspired.

Drink ticket and light appetizers included with ticket purchase.

The HAC is BACK – by popular demand!

Over the last year, SV@Home has been experimenting with innovative ways to spark real, action-oriented conversations on housing policy solutions. We realized, however, that the perfect series was awaiting a rejuvenation!

That’s why we are thrilled to invite you to the relaunch of the Santa Clara County Housing Action Coalition (HAC), a monthly, informal brownbag discussion convening Housers to engage on hot housing topics.

Every month, we’ll select a topic or current event, bring in an expert to give a brief presentation, and then open up the discussion to ask questions, float new ideas, and identify potential areas for shared action. We want your feedback and will be looking to participants to recommend future topics you want to see addressed.

Our goal is to create a space where Housers, community leaders, and newcomers alike can chat with their peers over lunch in a relaxed environment and convert your energy and expertise into advocacy opportunities! All are welcome.

Our first meeting will be over lunch on Friday, May 17th, the closing day of Affordable Housing Week. We’re excited to host a discussion of SB50, its proposed policy solutions to the housing crisis and its prospects moving forward. We’re thrilled that our confirmed special guest(s) for this discussion are:

  • Louis Mirante, Legislative Director, California YIMBY
  • Pedro Galvao, State and Regional Policy Manager, Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH)

So join SV@Home and fellow Housers for an engaging discussion that you can put immediately into advocacy action!
