Land banking — the aggregation and repurposing of underutilized, abandoned or foreclosure parcels for future development by municipalities — is a proven tool to help governments manage land and put it towards public use. How does it work and, more importantly, how can it be used effectively here in the Bay Area? In this discussion, hear from experts and practitioners from around the country as they examine best practices in land banking and discuss what California can learn from their experience. This project has been made possible in part by a grant from Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
