Join fellow Housers in speaking up for the importance of new housing in Saratoga! Sand Hill Property Company has an SB35 proposal to redevelop the Quito Village shopping center as a mixed-use townhome development, including 91 new homes!

Because the City of Saratoga is so far behind in reaching its RHNA housing goals, SB35 requires that any proposals include 10% of all homes as affordable. In this case, the developer is proposing that these affordable homes be affordable to people with very low incomes (VLI), a deeper level of affordability than is required. These are the first VLI units proposed in the city during this RHNA cycle. Check out SV@Home’s Saratoga page for more data.

We need Housers to come out to this community meeting to share why it’s so important that the City of Saratoga approve these new homes! It’s also an important example of how SB35 is helping streamline new housing proposals in places that haven’t been building enough housing to keep pace with community needs.

Check out the city’s website for more information on the proposal.
