It’s 2021; new year, new legislative session for California. As we’re (hopefully) nearing the end of the pandemic, our elected officials are reckoning with not only the fallout from the last year, but also the decades-long buildup to the affordability crisis we’re experiencing today. What can our legislators do to bring the state out of recession and build economic resilience for everyone who lives here?

On Thursday, March 18th 12pm-1pm, we’re bringing California legislators to our virtual table to discuss what policies they’re introducing to tackle housing, workers rights, and pandemic relief. We’ll be discussing the tech economy’s impact on the legislative agenda and what tech workers can do to advance equitable policy this year. The panel will be moderated by Catherine Bracy, CEO and Co-Founder of TechEquity Collaborative. Panelists include:

  • State Senator Scott Wiener, CA Senate District 11
  • Assemblymember David Chiu, CA 17th Assembly District
  • Assemblymember Buffy Wicks, CA 15th Assembly District
