Guardino Affordable Housing Scholarship

The Housing Trust Silicon Valley’s $3,000 Guardino scholarship for college students who live in affordable housing is open until June 30!

Cupertino City Council Considers Housing at Vallco

SV@Home and other housing advocates showed up in force at a study session to lend our voices in support of the need for affordable housing on the Vallco site in Cupertino.

Milpitas Approves Increased Inclusionary Requirements

The Milpitas City Council took action on June 12th to approve a 15% inclusionary requirement for new rental and for-sale housing, an increase of 10% over current requirements.

Santa Clara Issues Request for Affordable Housing Proposals

The City of Santa Clara’s Housing Division has released a request for proposal (RFP) calling for developers to submit proposals to develop a minimum of 15 affordable homes at a city-owned site located at 3575 De La Cruz Boulevard.

San Jose Approves Housing Crisis Workplan w/o Commercial Linkage Fees

The San Jose city council has approved perhaps its most comprehensive package of pro-housing actions, even while declining to study the viability of a commercial linkage fee for affordable housing.

San Jose Considers Changes to Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance

The San Jose city council will consider changes to the City’s municipal code on June 19th to make building an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) easier for San Jose residents.
