On June 25, the San Jose City Council will receive a report outlining policies under consideration to address the challenges of creating housing opportunities affordable to moderate-income, “missing-middle,” households struggling in the current housing market. (See staff report here.) The report will be considered in conjunction with a new proposal to spur development of affordable Accessory Dwelling Units, entitled “Yes, In My Back Yard (YIMBY) Affordable Housing Program.”
