The City of Mountain View and LifeMoves will jointly host a virtual grand opening for LifeMoves Mountain View. The Project Homekey interim housing community in Mountain View is possible through a pioneering public-private partnership among the City, LifeMoves, California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), County of Santa Clara, philanthropies, and the private sector. 

As part of the grand opening celebration, a video featuring an onsite ribbon cutting and site tour will be unveiled, along with recorded messages from Governor Gavin Newsom and private sector contributors. Interpretation will be provided in Spanish and Chinese.

BACKGROUND:

Located at 2566 Leghorn St., LifeMoves Mountain View is an innovative modular housing community with 100 private units and offers a welcoming, dignified and safe environment for people experiencing homelessness. LifeMoves will provide wraparound support services to the families, seniors, couples and single adults staying at the site to help them return to stable housing.
