Makin’ Moves

We’re excited and sending congratulations to our CoHo Working Group taking on new roles! Ingrid Granados is being promoted from the Community Engagement Specialist to Initiatives Officer with Destination: Home. She’s excited to join the initiatives team to help carry out the important work of the community plan to end and prevent homelessness.

 

We’re sad to see our CoHo working group member, Dixie Lira-Baus leave our working group. We greatly appreciate and thank her for her contributions to our CoHo events!

 

Join The Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley’s Sisterhood Brunch is their signature-annual event celebrating excellence in Latina leadership and civic engagement in Silicon Valley and beyond! San Jose State University is holding their inaugural Transforming Communities: A Movement to Racial Justice series of events to transform communities and build collective power in the movement toward equity and racial justice. Events are ongoing from now until November 13th. You can find the list of events here.

SV@Home Legislative & Budget Update

Join SV@Home on November 19th at 12 pm for a conversation about what happened in the legislature in 2021 and what’s ahead in the new year! While they work locally to produce new homes, preserve existing affordable homes, and protect renters, the SV@Home Action Fund also works at the state level to pass legislation to help address our housing needs. We’ll be joined by their lobbyist Graciella Castillo-Krings of Sacramento Advocates. Read Graciela’s bio here.
